Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Classroom Connect collects when you use classroom-connect.co.uk, why we collect it, who else receives it, and the choices you have. It covers the advertising and analytics services we use, because those services set cookies on your device.

1. Information We Collect

• Information you give us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email address and the content of your message. We use it to reply and for nothing else.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security provider records standard technical data when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the time of the request. This is used to serve the site and to detect abuse.
• Information collected by cookies. Cookies and similar technologies set by us and by the third parties named in sections 3 and 4 below.
• Game ratings. If you rate a game, we store your choice in your browser and record an anonymous count against that game. This is not linked to you.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for payment details.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies on this site fall into three groups:

• Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work and to record your cookie choices. These are always set.
• Analytics. Help us understand which pages and games are used, so we know what to improve.
• Advertising. Set by Google and its partners to serve, measure and, where you have agreed, personalise the ads you see. See section 3.

Where the law requires your consent, analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you give it through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in that banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. 3. Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, and Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google and its partners may also use device identifiers and similar technologies to measure whether an ad was seen and whether it worked.

4. Games and Other Third-Party Content

Games on this site are loaded from third-party servers inside an embedded frame. When you play one, that provider receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy rather than ours. We have no control over those cookies and cannot delete them for you.

The site also links to external websites. We are not responsible for how they handle your information, and we encourage you to read their policies.

5. Children's Privacy

Classroom Connect is intended for visitors aged 13 and over. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal details in order to play a game, so in normal use a visitor gives us nothing beyond the technical data described in section 1. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information through the contact form, email us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

6. Legal Bases and Sharing

We rely on your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site for the technical data described in section 1.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who make the site work, namely our hosting and security provider, our analytics provider, our database provider for anonymous game ratings, and the advertising partners named in section 3. Some of these providers are based outside the United Kingdom, and where information is transferred abroad it is protected by the safeguards those providers put in place. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

7. Retention and Security

Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Cookie lifetimes are set by the parties described above and vary.

We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong, or delete information we no longer need.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information.
• Withdraw your cookie consent at any time, using the cookie settings link.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Any change is posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be reflected in the cookie banner where your consent is affected.
