Action Games
Action is the largest category on Classroom Connect and the broadest. It covers everything built around reflexes and momentum, from one-button runners to full survival games, and it is where most of the site's best-known titles live.
All 235 games run in a browser tab with nothing to install.

What counts as an action game here
Action is a wide net. It holds precision runners like Slope and Tunnel Rush, physics comedies like Getting Over It and Happy Wheels, survival games like 99 Nights in the Forest, and a long tail of arcade games that do not sit neatly in any other genre. What they share is that they ask for quick decisions rather than planning. You will rarely spend more than a few seconds working out what to do next, and almost all of your attention goes on execution.
That makes the category the easiest place to start if you have five minutes and no particular plan. Nothing here needs a tutorial, and almost nothing punishes you for putting it down halfway through.
Where to start
Slope is the reference point. A ball, a downhill course, two controls, and a difficulty curve that gets genuinely hard about forty seconds in. It is the game most people mean when they talk about browser action games, and it still holds up. Tunnel Rush 2 does something similar with a tighter visual style and faster reactions.
If you want something with more to it, 99 Nights in the Forest splits its time between gathering resources by day and defending yourself after dark, and it holds a real difficulty curve across a long run. Ragdoll Archers is the best two-player pick in the category, and Geometry Dash needs no introduction to anyone who has met it before.
The physics corner
A distinct sub-group here is built entirely on unpredictable physics. Getting Over It, Happy Wheels, Ragdoll Hit and Elastic Man all take a deliberately awkward control scheme and make the awkwardness the point. These are the games people play to laugh at rather than to win, and they are much better with someone watching.
Burrito Bison and Learn to Fly sit next to them as launch games: one attempt, one long arc, then you spend what you earned on making the next attempt go further. They are the closest thing the action category has to a progression loop.
Games worth a longer session
Most of the category is designed for short bursts, but a few reward real time. Hollow Knight and The Binding of Isaac are full games rather than arcade pieces. Undertale Yellow is a substantial fan-made RPG. Portal is a puzzle game in an action shell and remains one of the most influential games ever made. If you have a free hour rather than a free minute, start with one of those.
Because Action carries the most games on the site, it is also the least precisely sorted. If you know roughly what you want, the narrower categories will usually get you there faster.
